How COOL is THAT?!

As you know, Mommy and Papa work for a non-profit ministry called Seasons of Life Ministries. Why does that matter? Many reasons. But, it's relevant to the twins because of these cool photos you're looking at right now.

Papa had to order a batch of Seasons of Life shirts and Miss Kim from Vintage Wearables did such a great job with the first run last year, we didn't hesitate to call her again. This time, all we ordered was a small batch of shirts. But, what she gave us were the shirts PLUS some uber-cool onesies and leggings for the babies! (Heck, Presleigh even got a super cute Seasons of Life t-shirt!!!)

So, I'm not just posting these as an update on the twins, I'm giving a SHAMELESS plug for Kim and Vintage Wearables - our t-shirt (and baby gear) vendor of choice!

What's in a Name?

Jezreel Jaxton Pina - Jezreel comes from the Hebrew, meaning "the Lord sows/plants". Jaxton: interesting tidbit - the Hebrew origin of "John/Jack" means "the Lord is gracious". Funked up a little with the "x" and the "-ton" makes his middle name "from the town of John" or more poetically, "from a place where God's grace makes its home". Jovi Julianna Pina - Jovi comes from the Latin for joy or happiness. Julianna means "youthful/soft". So, there you have it - our hopes for these two babes encapsulated in their names.

Where's the need?

A number of people have asked, and we're humbled by your requests, what the babies need. We're really not sure of everything, but will never say no to diapers of the appropriate size - who can blame us?!

It looks like we are all set on the large items - cribs, swings, mats, toys, etc. But, Papa's doing the math and has figured we've run through about 2800 diapers in just the first 6 months - YOWZA!!! Thatsa bunchadiapers!!! We're learning to receive gracefully and have been counseled by some of the best - "let people help", but it's unfamiliar territory. Here's my attempt at asking and receiving gracefully - if you're stopping by without a meal and didn't bring a pack of diapers, plan on doing a load of wash or dishes while you're here... (That didn't sound graceful at all!)
